Swallow School District COVID-19 Information

Swallow School has been open for the 2020-21 school year and the information below is meant to help Swallow parents and community members understand the current impact of COVID-19 on the school and in Waukesha County via dashboards as well as provide more about what to do when COVID-19 impacts your family.

  • Waukesha County COVID Dashboard: On Monday, April 19, Waukesha County transitioned most of the dashboard data on its website to the Wisconsin Department of Health Service's dashboard. The change occurred because recent updates to the State's dashboard incorporate more information at the local level. Waukesha County residents can now find detailed information about all Wisconsin counties on the state site. There are still tabs at the bottom of the page, including the one by School District Boundaries.
  • Swallow School District Dashboard: This data is provided by the District based on information confirmed by the Waukesha County Health Department and updated daily on school days.

Isolation (Positive COVID-19 case)

Quarantine (Close Contact of Positive COVID-19 case)

*Case and quarantine totals less than five are not reported to protect the privacy of individuals per the Waukesha County Health Department.

Navigating with COVID-19--Staying Safe to Stay Open
Partnership With and Communications from Waukesha County Health Department
Over summer 2020 the Waukesha County Health Department created partnerships with each public school district within the County. Weekly since the end of May, District Superintendents and Nurses have met to learn from one another and work together to reopen. Here are specific communications Waukesha County has asked Districts to share with families related to efforts to Stay Safe to Stay Open:

  • Face Coverings (April 9, 2021)
  • Early in the school year the County asked school district nurses to assist with contact tracing and disease investigation for enrolled students and staff members in each district. Due to the increases to COVID-19 cases in the County and limited staffing at the County level, school district nurses became the sole contact tracers for students and staff of the school district. See THIS LETTER from Waukesha County for more information about this change (November 10, 2020). The County will contact those testing positive and needing to isolate only.
