Welcome to the Swallow School Library! I am the librarian at Swallow and handle many of our technology elements as well. The 2020-2021 school year marks my 20th year in education and my 6th year as the librarian at Swallow. In 2019, I earned my K-12 Library Media Specialist (1902) license via UW-Whitewater. Being a librarian is so rewarding!
I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education from Carroll University in Waukesha. I am certified to teach grades 1-9, and I have a minor in science. A few years after graduating from Carroll, I earned my master’s degree in elementary mathematics. I also have a significant amount of training and experience teaching all areas of literacy. I have been fortunate to have had opportunities to work with children of all ages during my career as a teacher.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young children. Some of my favorite activities are playing and exploring new things with my kids, exercising, reading and being outdoors.
