Director of Instruction and Special Education

I am pleased to be part of the Swallow School District and serve as the Coordinator of Instruction and Activities. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a degree in Elementary Education and Science, and began my teaching career in the Milwaukee Public Schools.

After earning my Master's Degree in Science Education from Alverno College I moved to the Greendale School District where I was able to put my passion for science to use as a 7th grade science teacher and science curriculum facilitator.

In 2013 I transitioned out of the classroom and joined Swallow School, while also enrolling in Carroll Universities Professional Leadership program earning licences in Administration and Curriculum and Instruction.

Outside of education, I love biking, reading and spending time with my husband traveling and cruising the Caribbean.

Speech/Language Pathologist

Hi! My name is Sarah Sarchet. I am the speech therapist at Swallow School and work with students beginning at age three all the way up to 8th grade. I am in my 10th year at Swallow. I actually attended Swallow School from kindergarten through 8th grade. It is amazing how it has grown and changed, but also wonderful how the passion for learning and commitment by the staff, families, and students has stayed the same.

I attended Arrowhead High School and then went on to Liberty University in Virginia and got my Bachelors in Psychology. I came back to Wisconsin and went to graduate school at Marquette University. I received my Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology. In addition, I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

I am married to a wonderful man, Jason, and have four precious children, Caden, Kylie, Cruz, and Kinley. We just moved back to Hartland and love spending time as a family. Besides being a speech therapist, mother, and wife, I also enjoy spending my time cooking, reading, and playing all kinds of sports.

Occupational Therapist

Hi! My name is Carla Frantl and I am the Occupational Therapist at Swallow School. I am currently in my 7th year at Swallow. Previously, I was the Occupational Therapist at Erin Elementary School.

I graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 1999 with a BS degree in Occupational Therapy. I chose Occupational Therapy within the school system because I wanted to be a part of enhancing a student's ability to be successful in the learning environment. This includes working on handwriting and fine motor skills. There is nothing better than seeing the smile on a child’s face when they have been successful in achieving their OT goals.

I am married to Steve and we have two children. My daughter Alexis is a senior at Hartford Union High and my son is a sophomore at Hartford Union High.
