I have been teaching 6th grade at Swallow School for ten years. The subjects I teach are social studies, math, reading, SOAR, robotics, and Project Lead the Way. I enjoy guiding students as they engage in research and discovery. My educational background includes undergraduate work in education at UW - Platteville, MA of Education from Cardinal Stritch, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from UW - Milwaukee.

I live in Wauwatosa with my son, Warren Guy, and my husband, Nikki. We enjoy traveling, camping, biking, eating, and attending local sporting events. Go Brewers!

I am looking forward to working with you and your family.

I am coming to Hartland from the Waukesha STEM Academy where I taught middle school science for the past four years. I also have experience teaching all subjects in grades five through nine in a variety of districts over the past 22 years. I also spent two years as a principal.I’m glad to be returning to the Lake Country area – I taught grades 5-8 at North Lake School from 1996-2004.

I grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin and I came to Waukesha County to attend Carroll College. I have been in the area for over 25 years. My wife Lisa and I live in Mukwonago. We have three great kids. My daughter, Delaney will be a high school freshman, my son Tyler is starting 6th grade and my daughter Valerie is going into 4th grade. We also have a dog named Jasmine. She is a shiba inu – if you have not heard of that breed, Google it!

Some things I enjoy doing are playing the guitar, reading, exercising at the Y, watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers, working and playing with technology and watching my kids in their activities.

Some of the best years of my teaching career involved working with 6th graders and I am really looking forward to working with your children. I will be teaching reading and math to my homeroom group of kids and then all 6th graders will rotate into my room for science each day. Here’s to a great year!

Hello! I am very excited to be at Swallow! This is my 4th year at Swallow and my 10th year teaching.

My past experiences include teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math, reading, language arts, and even art! I graduated from UW-Platteville with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (1-6). I went on to further my education by receiving a Master's Degree from Cardinal Stritch in Reading and Language Arts. After receiving my Master’s degree, I went on to earn my middle school education license. Last year, I received my Reading Specialist License.

At Swallow, I teach 6th grade writing. Also, I teach Math and Reading to my homeroom and Reading to Mr. Smith's homeroom.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family (my husband, our three children, and our dog), reading books, writing, watching football, and traveling.
