Welcome to first grade! After graduating from Kettle Moraine High School, I went to school at UW-Whitewater. I graduated in 1995 with an elementary education major and a Spanish education minor. I also have my master's degree from UW-Whitewater. I taught elementary Spanish in the School District of Kettle Moraine for 4 years, and have been here at Swallow ever since. I taught 3rd grade for 10 years, and this will be my 8th year in first grade. I feel privileged to teach at Swallow and to work with your child. I love my job, and I love first graders! First grade is such a magical year in your child’s life of learning. Children make such amazing growth in first grade as they begin to become readers and writers. It is so exciting to witness and be a part of this magical journey with your child!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking, cooking, and baking. Our family lives in Oconomowoc. My husband John and I have two sons who attend Silver Lake Intermediate School and Oconomowoc High School. As a family we enjoy spending time outside or at sporting events that our boys are involved in.

I look forward to a fun year of learning with your child!
